Biography

Kürşad Tosun received his B.S. in mathematics and computer science from Çankaya University. He has two M.S.’s degrees, one in mathematics from Bilkent University and one in statistics from West Virginia University. He received his PhD. from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. His research interests are in differential equations, probability and statistics. He is particularly interested in mathematical epidemiology and medicine. His current research focuses on stochastic modeling of transmissions of infectious diseases. He is also interested in gene expression-based diagnosis and prognosis of lung cancer.
